Medicare is a national social insurance program, administered by the U.S. federal government in 1965.

It is America's national insurance program that helps Americans aged 65 or older and younger individuals with illnesses or disabilities avail health services.

PART A covers Hospital care, while outpatient medical services are covered under Part B.
